Women: We are always on the go, constantly making moves. From the moment we get out of bed in the morning; we are changing diapers, studying, giving meeting presentations, attending PTA functions, driving to work, packing lunches, cleaning and well the list goes on. So with all this movin’ around how do we make sure that we don’t forget to make the most important move…Prayer.
“I get up early in the morning to pray to You. I trust what You say.” Psalms 119:147
Prayer is important. Prayer is the doorway to healing, forgiveness, breakthrough, restoration, protection, deliverance, and more. For yourself and others. It’s communication with our Heavenly Father. And our Father wants to hear from us (James 4:8). Because we don’t know what the day holds, it’s necessary that we all start our day with prayer; for guidance and strength. An hour at the beginning of each day is a good start; for devotion, worship and praise. He can prepare us for our day and we can gain peace knowing that whatever is the outcome of our day, we consulted with Him first. However, prayer at the beginning of the day is not enough. We are told throughout scripture to pray continually (1 Thes 5:17). We are to pray for everyone, everywhere and at all times. You may think… How can I do that? My life is so busy. It’s possible. A Christians life is Prayer. Below are some ways you can incorporate prayer throughout your day.
Before Getting Out of Bed
Appreciation. Upon opening our eyes in the morning, before our feet hit the floor, we need to say “Thank You”. Praise is the best way to get our day started. Keep a short daily devotional on the night stand, so you can grab it first thing in the morning or read A Proverb A Day (I.e. Jan 5th=Proverbs 5) in doing so insight, wisdom and growth can be gained. These quick readings would take less than 5 min. Then you can begin the day feeling anchored, refreshed and renewed. Seek Him Before Getting Out of Bed.
While Traveling to Many Destinations
On your drive to work, school or after chauffeuring the kids around, you can turn your car into a prayer room. Bringing all of your concerns before Him, thanking Him and seeking guidance. Ask God in this time to reveal to you anyone who may need prayer, so that you can pray for them. Even when we are on the go, He is in the midst, waiting to hear from us. He is with you, While Traveling To Many Destinations.
At The End of The Day
Wheew…So the day has ended. Meetings are over, dinner is done, kids are tucked in, and we’ve spent time with our honey. You have some more time alone; time to get more prayers in. He’s shielded you, protected you, guided you and most of all loved you, all day long. It’s time to say Thank You. Also, this is a great time to pray for leaders, your city, and country and also for you.. At The End of The Day, end with prayer
“Jesus often went away to other places to be alone so that he could pray.”- Luke 5:16
Ladies After Wisdom, I remember praying years ago that my life would be adventurous. And boy it has been. My family and my work keep me on toes. It’s an exciting, fulfilling and rewarding life (All credit to God). Getting the hang of motherhood, wifehood, workhood, organizationhood, (well just about every hood lol) has had its fair share of difficulties and being consistent is a tough battle at times, especially when inconsistent situations arise. Different seasons of life are more trying than others, yet I’m often reminded that God never intended for me to be too busy to pray. I’ve learned that prayer doesn’t always have to be in a room, church or house. We can pray in the car, at the store or in the bathroom (sometimes that’s the only private place for a mom ;o). Wherever we are, He is.
“Prayer is an investment. The time you dedicate to prayer isn’t lost; it will return dividends far greater than what a few moments spent on a task ever could. If we fail to cultivate this discipline, prayer winds up being our last resort rather than our first response.” – Charles Swindoll
L.A.W., do you desire to truly please God? You desire a deeper relationship with Him? To truly serve, to be used by God for great things? Well, prayer is the way. You must incorporate prayer in your day. You mustn’t be to busy to pray. Prayers don’t have to be hours long, sometimes a 2 min prayer can be more effective than and hour long one. No matter what your schedule may be, prayer can be fit in. Don’t let the time or place intimidate you and keep you from communicating with your Heavenly Father. Become disciplined and seek God with a humbled heart, requesting Him to strengthen your prayer life. L.A.W., I love you. All is well.

Affirmation: My day is consumed with prayer. I am a Prayer Warrior.
Prayer: Father, it’s me again. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Father, thank You for my many tasks. I am grateful for my many blessings of home, children, work and hobbies. Father, I pray that I put none of that before you. I desire to please You. Use me Lord to intercede in prayer for others. Place situations and circumstances on my heart, so that I maybe lead to pray for them. Bless prayer to be my first response in all situations, rather than last resort. Bless me to always pray with a humble heart. Bless me to have a life of prayer.
In Jesus Name, Amen
