What if there was no Easter? No, I don’t mean the holiday filled with baskets, eggs and beautiful dresses. I mean what if there was no resurrection? What if Christ decided not to die on the cross for you and me? What if He had decided it would be too much to bare, that he didn’t want to sacrifice His life for ours? What if there was never a Resurrection?
I often wonder how my life, this world would be, had God chosen not to reveal His presence or His Word to us? Take a moment and think about that. Think about life without the revelation of God. How dark, cold and confused we would all be? It’s a scary thought.
I am so grateful that He chose to reveal Himself and that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. It’s a gift I choose to receive. If you haven’t received it…will you? Life without Jesus is a lost life…
How Would It Be?
I often wonder how my life would be
Had Christ decided not to give his life for me
In certainty I know Id be lost and confused
At Satan’s disposal I would be entirely misused
I wouldn’t know the Comforter, the Protector the Truth
I wouldn’t know true love and felt the proof
Having nowhere to turn in despair and darkness
I would have led a life completely hopeless
I would have never given up a life full of sin
Seeking many gods discontent from within
Oh how broken and ashamed I would be
Had Christ not decided to give his life for me
Yet, as undeserving as I truly am
Christ decided to be the sacrificial Lamb
I am grateful God decided to reveal His love
So appreciative and joyful as he reigns from above
My life is filled with forgiveness and peace
Chasing after Him will never cease
Because He loved me first, I’ve decided to live
In honor of Him and freely give
I now know how my life would ultimately be
If Christ decided not to give his life for me
Its a life unable to live righteously
No hope to be who I was meant to be.
Brave, holy, strong and free
Oh how glad I am Christ died for me.
Ladies After Wisdom, many believe a life with Jesus is too hard. A life of following rules, what you can and cannot do. However, its the opposite. Life is much more difficult without Him. I’m hopeful that You have received Christ as you personal savior. If not, please join me in the prayer below. Trust God with your life. L.A.W. I love you, All is well ;o)
Read: The Book of John; Romans 12
Affirmation: I choose Christ
Prayer to Accept Christ: Jesus, I believe You are the Son of the true living God and that You died on the cross for my sins (John 3:16). I believe You rose in three days. I believe You are seated at the right hand of our heavenly Father (Actts 7:55-56). I thank You for Your sacrifice. Thank You for dying for me. I love You. I receive Your precious gift and ask that You come into my life. Help me to devote my life you You (Romans 12).
In Jesus Name, Amen
